Chinese Consul General in Brisbane Sun Zhaoyang Pays a Courtesy Call on Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner

On 13 October 2026, Consul-General Dr Sun Zhaoyang paid a courtesy call on Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner in Brisbane. Consul Mr Zhang Xianfeng and Vice Consul Ms Sun Ruoxi also attended the meeting.

Dr SUN stated that China hope that the 2032 Brisbane Olympic and Paralympic Games is an opportunity and sister-city relationship is a bridge to strengthen ongoing exchanges and dialogue with Brisbane in trade and commerce, science and technology, people-to-people relations, youth exchange and advancing practical cooperation.

Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner welcomed Dr SUN as he takes up the new post and expressed a willingness to deepen friendship and work with the Chinese side to take bilateral cooperation to new heights.
